Unit Self-Assessment Questionnaires due October 15, 2018
All Western Merchants who process bank card transactions must complete and return their Unit Self-Assessment Questionnaire to the Bank Card Committee by October 15, 2018.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to ensure Western's credit/debit card processes protect critical information and are in compliance with the most current version of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The questionnaire is also designed to help you identify any gaps in meeting the PCI DSS requirements.
The questionnaire focuses on practices in three key areas:
• Employee awareness;
• Protecting cardholder data;
• Processing bank card transactions.
The Bank Card Committee would like to bring to your attention updates to the Procedure for Policy 2.8 – Procurement of Materials and Services. All software/application acquisitions, including those provided free of charge or as a trial, must be documented and assessed through Western’s Third Party Risk Assessment. If you are considering any technology with functionality for receiving payments, you must complete Western’s Third Party Risk Assessment.
